31 Journal Prompts for Renewing Your mind & Starting over Again (December)

Well, here’s to 2018’s homestretch. I believe each year gets better and better especially if you ask yourself questions that ultimately help you to stay on track. What better way to prepare our minds with the right attitude than to challenge ourselves to gain discernment by thinking towards betterment? Each year is a year of growth and 2018 has been an advantage for me. I’m approaching the new year with these questions you can also ask yourself. My hope and prayer is that you will always take that room for improvement and make the best of it beginning with having the LORD in mind. For 2019, let’s dig deeper, be more honest with ourselves, others, and most importantly with God. Amen?

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

31 Journal Prompts for Managing Anxiety & Depression (July)

Anxiety is a hot topic, at least on God first God always it is. I get prayer requests about it and it’s a subject that comes up often enough. That’s why I’ve put these questions together in hopes that you can better cope with your struggle. I mean if you’re fed up with this common problem the rest of the world deals with, how about take a few minutes everyday to make these reflections? Maybe it can even save you from pulling all your hair out. 😛

I’ve had my share of anxiety and depression. You might argue the two are totally different. But the one word that ties them together is distress. Both words will always be associated with each other for as long as humans are alive. Have I overcome both? I wouldn’t say I’ve overcome them because I still do have times when I’m anxious or feeling sad. However, I do have more peace under pressure when things don’t go my way  compared to my old ways of thinking when I could not control my thoughts and feelings.

1 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Matthew 6:25-34 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
