(ANON QUESTION RECEIVED ON GodfirstGodalways)
what do you say to someone who’s 26 and has never dated or been in a relationship but feels they are ready now?
If your feelings are righteous and you truly believe the LORD has been carefully preparing you and you can recall certain experiences and can say that such and such happened because you believe it was His way of disciplining you…..then I would also be confident in Him that you are indeed ready. I can’t forget one more thing….if you have been praying for God to work on your character as well as for His timing and guidance and you are growing faithfully and more confidently in Him as a result, then I absolutely believe you are ready my friend. Praying for you! <3
2 Timothy 2:22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
