what are types or prefigures of Jesus in the old testament? I know some like Jesus is the lamb provided by God (His own Son) instead of Abraham sacrifice of his son Isaac. Jesus & Samson, Joseph foster father o Jesus and technicolor coat Joseph. do you know any more? i find these mind blowing.

Hehe! This totally reminds me of Animal Farm. 🙂 Prefigures are interesting. The one I know by heart is Jonah. He was inside the fish 3 days and 3 nights, Jesus was in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights too. Melchizedek and Jesus were very much alike as well, but one was earthly king of Jerusalem and Jesus was Spiritual King of Jerusalem. They were princes of Peace. There’s also prefigures of baptism which I think is cool….when Noah and his family were saved from the flood, God washed away the sins of the world. When Moses led his people through the parted Red Sea, symbolizing the blood of Christ cleansing us when we get dunked in the water. Also when John the Baptist baptized people before Jesus was baptized by him. By the way, I can’t find anywhere in the Bible that John was baptized physically although I read somewhere that he was spiritually baptized by Jesus when he was still in his mother’s womb (there’s water in wombs :))… (Luke 1:39-45) Jesus was in Mary’s womb and John was in Elizabeth’s. Elizabeth received greetings from Mary, and John inside her leaped for joy because she was filled with the Holy Spirit, which makes John filled with the Holy Spirit too. That’s why when John and Jesus finally met as adults it’s like they knew each other. That one’s not from the OT but just thought you might think that’s mind blowing too. 😀
