(ANON CONCERN RECEIVED FROM GodfirstGodalways)
Hey, I don’t usually like asking for help but I really need that sister in Christ support right now. For some reason I feel lost and I don’t know exactly what’s wrong. I don’t know what to ask for specifically I just hope that God puts the right words in you.
You’re in a good place because I can be that sister in Christ. 🙂 It’s ok to feel lost. Sometimes I actually anticipate for that lost feeling, otherwise I feel like something’s wrong. When everything is going good, that’s when we should remember to stand strong in faith, we should be wary that Satan can shake us anytime. So it’s a good place to be because when you feel lost, your soul is crying out to be found. Your soul is crying out to be found because God created you in His image. Genesis 1:27. If you’re a Christian, you must get used to that. Nothing in life will be perfect. When it seems all things are just right, don’t trust your feelings all the way…you have to have wisdom to know that after something really good, it will always be followed by something not so good. Life is up and down. He created your feelings so you can use them as triggers to turn to Him. Instead we often let our feelings guide us and if we trust our feelings all the time, eventually pride takes over and we end up feeling lost. I believe that the Holy Spirit has convicted you that’s why you feel the way You do. Trust that God made you feel this way so that you will turn to Him for guidance. He wants you to know that He’d like for you to get to know Him more and there’s no other time than when you feel lost to do that. “When I am weak then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10. When you draw near to God, sooner or later you will find yourself in Him. When you find peace there, I pray you’re reminded of whom you belong to.
When I feel lost, it’s usually a sense of detachment from the Holy Spirit. It’s always me walking away as soon as my pride is convinced it’s getting its way. You must get to know Jesus Christ more by spending time with Him through prayer, meditation, journaling….that way next time you feel lost, it becomes second nature for you to depend on Him. “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10. God never walks away, He just watches you. Know that God will never leave you, He loves you so much to convict you (even if you might not have a day to day relationship with Him.) If you’re worried….I read from my devotional this morning that “Fretting rises from a determination to have our own way. Our Lord never worried and was never anxious because His purpose was never to accomplish His own plans but to fulfill God’s plans.” – Oswald Chambers. Make sure you’re walking on His path and that you have not created your own. I will be praying you!! 💕
