(ANON QUESTION RECEIVED ON GodfirsrtGodalways)
My life is so hard and I just feel so alone. And I just ask God all the time why does life have to be this way. Just why.
You aren’t alone. Life is what you make of it. Ever heard of the saying “10% of life is what happens, 90% is how you react”? I used to be so self-centered, thinking that no one has it harder than me. Then I came to realize if I kept thinking that way, I’d get nowhere and continue to dwell on how bad things were. Life is a gift you’ve been graced with. The more often you react with gratitude no matter what happens, the more opportunities and blessings will be revealed to you, which makes a big difference in your decision making, even if the decision is to choose to be persevering.
Keep asking Him why life has to be this way and one day He’ll show you and you’ll be grateful. The hardships you go through are connected to your testimony and that is going to be your big WHY — the reason for your passion when you discover/remember your purpose here on earth. I am praying for you friend that you will come to fully know who Jesus is and why He’s so important, because without Him you will always question why you are alive. You will know your purpose and it will make so much sense to you the more you draw yourself closer to God.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
