Hello! Thanks for stopping by Heart’s Table. You probably read one of my posts on tumblr…GodfirstGodalways or came across my video(s) on YouTube…Leighla93, or just happened to stumble upon something I wrote on Mind’s Seat. If you’re simply visiting to see what I’m up to, then I really like you. 🙂 Anyhow, now you’re here and I appreciate it because that tells me you want to get to know me better. I started this blog as a journal because I wanted to be honest with myself and more importantly with God. I am not perfect, but the truth is when I strive to live out God’s truth, I live with more peace and feel more whole as a person. He is consistently telling me to live more transparently, so I thought a niche that’s dedicated to following Jesus as a lifestyle would help me be more bold about my walk with Him.
I believe that there are many lukewarm Christians out there and others who are just searching for answers or wanting to get closer to God in hopes of getting to know themselves better. I also believe many of those I’m talking about turn to the internet, maybe because they have not found it easy to fellowship in church or maybe they’re hesitant opening up about their faith in person. Nonetheless, they are curious about God and would personally like to get to know Him better because life as we know it can be messy. If you’re going through some tough things, it’s no coincidence you were led here. This spot on the web for me reminds me to put all judgement aside and welcome anyone who is hurting, in need of spiritual enlightenment, seeking to understand God more, wiling to share their philosophy, or anyone filled with joy, praises, or prayer requests. With God’s help, I pray to bring many closer to Him through my writing. I am blessed to to be inspired by the Lord to put together words that encourage, uplift, motivate, and point them to Him. My blog is about Biblical/Christian wisdom that I try to tie in with my past and present experiences, talents, skills, and abilities He’s gifted me with, and my passion for health and nutrition.
I’ve been a born-again Christian for 7 years now, but in all honesty, I feel that I have only turned 4 in God’s eyes. If you care to read my testimony, it’s called “Forgive as You Have Been Forgiven”.
Welcome to my table, my work station, where I chew on God’s words and meditate on them. I am still learning a lot, but if you have any input regarding anything I write about, please don’t hold back. I hope everything you digest here will be good for your heart.
Thanks again for stopping by! 🙂
By His Grace, Sheela 😀
